24/07/2010 - SPOTLIGHT TEAM UP WITH SOUTH HUNSLEY SCHOOL

Spotlight Limo Cruisers teamed up with South Hunsley School Business Department to offer a Q&A session to 80 year 10 students.

Spotlight Limo's met up with 80 year 10 business students from South Hunsley School to offer an insight into setting up and running a small business venture to assist with their GCSE coursework.

David Shipp, MD of Spotlight took the Limo Cruiser to South Hunsley School and met with four groups of students to offer question and answer sessions on setting up and running the business and personal choices behind the decision making process.

David said "The students had come up with some very interesting questions but it was great to hear that customers were the focus of many of the questions, something which they need to learn very quickly are the make or break of any business"

"When approached to take part, especially at the request of the students, we were only too pleased to become involved, especially as a local business to the school"

Barry Gray, Area leader for enterprise and ICT at South Hunsley said "The answers Mr Shipp gave were excellent in terms of fitting in with the work the students have been doing this year on establishing a new business and will help them with their controlled assesment work"

Mr Gray went on to say "We would definitely love to do this again next year and indeed several students who have chosen Business studies for their GCSE's have been to see me to see if they will get to see the Limo next year!"

One of the students who took part said "It was great that you took the time to talk to us about Spotlight Limo Cruisers and answer some questions. As we are currently doing a project at school about your new business venture, it was good for us to get some primary reasearch, and some first hand knowledge of things. One of the main reasons why we had to speak to you was to learn about your ways of customer satisfaction, we found this out and much more, you always offer what you say and a little extra which means for a happy customer."
